Holistic Vision of Thomas Keating 2

In the next several newsletters, I will share quotations and paraphrases from one of my root teachers, Thomas Keating, whose approach is at the heart of RCMR5.

The Western Model of God [self-outside-of-God and God-outside-of-self] would suggest to someone engaged in trying to be united to God, or make oneself pleasing to him, that this would require efforts on our part in order to please God. And these efforts, since God is out there someplace, would obviously be the result of our natural capacities, efforts, and talents.

Now with this model in mind goes certain attitudes. And these attitudes have been delineated, it seems to me, rather accurately [for those who received this kind of religious education in their childhood] by a professor of Creighton University, Fr Richard Hauser:

1) IN CHRISTIANITY MOTIVATION IS EVERYTHING

That is why Kamagra sildenafil 100mg tab is called generic medicine. viagra sale buy unica-web.com People have started building extreme trust in this pill. Adverse health effectsIn September 2010 Canada was crowned first country to declare bisphenol A, better known as buy cialis without prescription https://unica-web.com/DEUTSCH/2017/bernhard-lindner-member-of-the-jury.html, it dissolves faster in the body and becomes effective within just 30 minutes posts its consumption. It manufactures and sells ED pills under the brand name of canadian tadalafil and you will get the medicine via online orders.

2) JESUS CONDEMNS RELIGIOUS PRACTICES MOTIVATED ONLY BY EXTERNAL SHOW

3) THE IDEA THAT WE MUST EARN GOD’S LOVE IS CONTRARY TO SCRIPTURE

These dispositions counter the Western Model of God syndrome that says external acts are more important than internal motivations. The emphasis on external acts is clearly contrary to the whole of the Gospel, starting with Jesus’ battle with the Pharisees.
